            Abstract : 
We perform a transmission experiment using a coupled-cavity VCSEL and demonstrate its unique ability for radio frequency conversion. For a short-reach link, the system performance is governed by the dc biasing and local oscillator power applied to the coupled-cavity VCSEL.
