Abstract :
This paper proposes strategies for minimization of losses in a three phase pulse-width-modulation (PWM) quasi-resonant (QR) inverter and the ripple in its output current. When compared to other techniques used for current ripple reduction, the proposed strategies are shown to reduce losses and produce a current with improved quality. The implementation of the strategies in this type of pulsed DC-link voltage (PDCLV) inverter is easily accomplished by a hybrid modulator scheme. Simulated and experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed strategies
