Abstract :
Two blind equalization schemes using an antenna array are proposed for multipath fading channels. The methods exploit second-order statistics and spatial diversity to provide fast convergence rate and better performance in low SNRs. A special orthogonalization technique is used in conjunction with the Viterbi algorithm to achieve optimal sequence detection without channel identification. The proposed approach also has a special structure particularly suitable for time varying channels
