  • Abstract
The design, fabrication and performance of hybrid high-temperature compatible optical flame sensors are discussed. The sensors are comprised of two spectrally filtered gallium phosphide photodiodes, a dual channel silicon on insulator transimpedance amplifier and a gold-metallized aluminum nitride header/printed circuit board. The ability to distinguish flame color and stable operation at 340 degrees centigrade has been demonstrated for these devices
