Abstract
The goal of this work is to design and analyze the performance of various multiuser coding and iterative decoding methods for intersymbol interference (ISI) networks. The introduction of turbo coding and iterative decoding schemes have changed the coding and detection landscape drastically. However, most of the results are for single-user channels which do not suffer from interchannel interference (ICI). This work extends the performance results for turbo coded schemes by investigating a more general multi-user ISI network. The results show that turbo coded systems provide superior gains to uncoded systems under both deterministic and stochastic ICI cases
