Abstract :
The design of a DSP-based composite stereo generator for use in a digital studio-to-transmitter link is described. The functions of pilot and subcarrier generation, matrixing, modulation, and test tone generation are all accomplished by means of a single DSP chip, resulting in a high performance, low complexity implementation. Performance of the algorithm is nearly ideal, and signal quality is shown to be dependent only on the digital to analog conversion process
