Abstract :
This paper gives analysis of the DH phenomenon in switching power converters caused by the diode reverse recovery, comprising output voltage increase considerably beyond that predicted by the usual analysis and self-sustaining quasiperiodic oscillations. The theoretical results are confirmed by experiment. Design guidelines are presented to avoid overvoltage and instability in practical converters
