Abstract
A novel method for improving the stability of the ENFET (enzyme-modified field effect transistor) glucose sensor is reported. By analyzing the main reasons for the loss of GOD (glucose oxidase) activity, it is proposed that some oxidants can be used for a dip-treatment when the ENFET has completed its measurements in order to force the device to resume its original state. The stability of the glucose sensor is improved by this method.<>
