Abstract :
The electrical power aboard aircraft tends to increase thanks to the progress in switched-mode power converters. The generalization of the use of power converters leads to EMI issues. The EMC standards compliance is often obtained by adding an EMI filter after a measurement on a prototype. Since prototyping is costly and time consuming, it is interesting to evaluate the level of EMI without prototyping. To achieve this goal, frequency-domain simulation is interesting, but classical method can not give a good representation of non-linear transition of the power switches. That is why a new frequency domain method is proposed. This method uses two equivalent generators topologies and combine them to obtain an accurate results. The combination is based on the use of validity functions associated with each topology. This paper is focused on the impact of the validity functions on the final result.
