Abstract :
When applying adaptive local smoothing in the process of image denoise, the image edge will be blurred to a certain extent. Wavelet analysis is a powerful tool in image enhancement. Considering the factors mentioned above, a coupling method of adaptive local smoothing method and wavelet is adopted to cope with noisy maize leaf image. The image signal to noise ratio (SNR) and the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) are applied to estimate the noise reduction effect of the images objectively. Simulation result positively shows that the proposed method can effectively decrease image noise with minimum image details loss. Meanwhile the image contrast and visual effect are improved to a great extent, and the SNR and the PSNR are also enhanced.
