Abstract :
Continuous casting technology is a process of heat transferring from liquid steel to solid billet. During this process, temperature of slab surface is one of the most important parameters for controlling. It is one of the main reasons that to optimize casting speed, to determine intensity of the second cold and determine liquid depth. Therefore, it becomes an important research direction that controlling temperature of slab surface in continuous casting process. The slab surface temperature-measurement system of continuous casting based on CCD imaging have two typical implementations, such as combination of image acquisition card and computer, CCD image sensor with Nios II embedded soft-core processor etc. In this paper, the slab surface temperature-measurement system of continuous casting was designed on Cyclone 1C20 which is embedded soft-core processor. The experimental results proved that the temperature-measurement system is accurate, efficient and can be widely used in the high temperature measurement of coal, steel, metallurgy industry etc. It has practical significance to improve the efficiency of continuous casting production.
