Abstract :
Crimped or mechanically bolted aluminum and copper connectors are commonly used for terminating and joining electrical power cables used for all forms of renewable energy projects. These connectors, although simple and inexpensive, can be the weak link in a system, and a connector failure is often the cause of a long and costly outage.
