  • Abstract
This article proposes the Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) algorithm for a single-phase seven-level inverter for grid-connected applications. The SVPWM is an advanced computer intensive modulation technique that offers important advantages over the Sinusoidal PWM (SPWM) which has been used for this inverter topology. The proposed SVPWM algorithm is simulated and implemented on a grid-connected system. It is based on the usage of the low-cost Digital Signal Controller (DSC) dsPIC30F128MC802. The generated waveform of voltage and current delivered to the grid present a low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD).
