            Abstract :
The authors have developed a small ( Phi 8.4 mm) and light-weight (3.5 g) multiple beam projection (MBP) which is expected to be a novel light source for 3-D pattern recognition systems. The fabrication and assembly processes are described; experimental results are presented; and the advantages of the projector are enumerated.<>
