Abstract
In the paper we present an analysis of the quantization error for generalized (nonuniform and/or nonmonotonic) quantizers. The mean values and mean squared values of the quantization error are derived. The examples show the results for some typical test signals. The presented formulas can be applied as the reference models used in the ADC test methods recommended by the IEEE
