Abstract :
In this paper, we survey recent research in VANETs emergency messages dissemination. We structure the survey into two broad categories: IEEE 802.11p/WAVE and MAC protocols, and routing protocols, and describe key ideas of representative technologies in each category. In addition, we consider mobility models and simulation scenarios that are crucial for emergency messages dissemination in VANET. We conclude by sharing our thoughts on further challenges.
