Abstract
Proposes a powerful model, called MITOS (Model for Intelligent Three-dimensional Object Support) for the intelligent support of spatial data consisting of irregular 3D objects and their interrelations. The core novelty of the proposed data model lies in its delicate way of representing the (complicated) world of 3D objects in order to reduce its complexity. MITOS achieves this by discretizing the space, using mostly topological notions and finite sets, and by recalling geometry only when needed. On the other hand, MITOS´s objects are effectively handled by the MITOS language, which is an integration of an object-oriented programming language and a logic-based one
