Abstract
In this paper, we present a scheduling algorithm for medium access control (MAC) protocol in wireless sensor networks. In the algorithm, the state feedback control method in modern control theory is introduced to keep the access states of nodes stable. To build the control model, we use the forecast mechanism to predict active nodes, and define the access state of measure system through polling access times and total access times. This paper describes the principle and process of feedback control in the algorithm in detail. Finally, we select 3 initial states to simulate different collision probability which means the collision ratio in whole communication. The simulation result proves that in both low and high collision probability this scheduling algorithm avoids the communication contention among nodes and keeps the access states of nodes stable and convergent.
