Abstract :
According to the characters of excitation system of generator and several defects of ant colony algorithm (ACA), adaptive ant colony algorithm (AACA) for optimizing PID parameters of excitation controller of generator is presented in this paper on the basis of conventional PID controller and PID controller based on AC A. Excitation controller of synchronous generator based on AACA is designed. The simulating results show that this excitation controller controls voltage better than either the conventional PID controller or the PID controller based on AC A on both robustness and accuracy.
