Abstract :
A fixed-frequency, single-phase single-stage soft-switching, high frequency transformer isolated AC-to-DC bridge converter with low line-current total harmonic distortion is proposed. A new type of gating scheme is used. The operating principle, different modes of operation and the analysis are presented. Based on the analysis, design curves are obtained and a design example is presented to illustrate the design procedure. Results obtained from PSPICE simulation and experiments are given. Results clearly depict low THD and soft switching of all the switches (main and auxiliary) at different line and load conditions
