Abstract
A spiral pile driver system that consists of spiral pile and spiral pile driver is developed to prevent flood. The spiral pile is threaded into the earth while piling. With the gradual application of spiral pile for flood prevention, a stable driver system and high performance spiral piles are required. In this paper, ANSYS / LS_DYNA is used to build up spiral pile-soil finite element model and simulate pile driving process with the use of the erosion algorithm. To analyze the mechanical properties and strain of the spiral pile in pile driving process, it is needed to simulate the complex mechanics behavior of the spiral pile under the co-effect of torsion, vertical force and the friction force provided by soil in the construction. According to the results of the simulations, the structure of the spiral pile and driver system can be optimized.
