Abstract
The robustness of Matsui´s method for PMSM mechanical sensorless control (see IEEE Trans. Ind. Electron., vol.43, no.2, p.300-308, 1996) is studied in this paper. The parameter errors are considered as the principal source of uncertainties. Specially for the case of stator resistance uncertainty, a necessary condition is given to ensure low speed operation. Simulation and experimental results illustrate the validity of the analytical study
