Abstract :
We present and experimentally verify a novel computationally-efficient MIMO equalization method in 40Gb/s OFDMA-PON with polarization multiplexing and direct detection. A 2.1dB DSP-based OSNR gain is achieved over 20km SSMF plus 1:32 optical split.
