Abstract :
This paper introduces MISO (multiple input single output) transmit diversity (TD) technique together with deploying subarray transmit eigen-beamformer (STEB). Major role of utilizing eigen-beamformer (EBF) is to enforce the fading channel parameters being statistically independent so as to improve the combining spatial diversity gain. As regards this nature of EBF, this paper considers the hybrid usage of TD schemes together with subarray EBF. This conjunction of available TD schemes such as STBC (space-time block code) and TxAA (transmit adaptive array) and STEB acquires significant spatial diversity combining gain under heavily correlated channel situation. Simulation results are accomplished to validate the proposed methods under several channel situations with varying their degree of correlation.
