Abstract :
In this paper, in order to enable coexistence between Bluetooth and WLAN or other devices in 2.4 Ghz band, an interference-detection-based frequency hopping (IDB-FH) algorithm is proposed. By using the variance of RSSI and packet error, the state of each hopping channel is determined. Based on this information, Bluetooth maps the successive two hopping channels as the same state of channel. The proposed algorithm has stable throughput in one piconet as well as in multi piconet environments.
