  • Abstract
    A driving simulator needs a dynamic simulation model of vehicle which can be applied to any real maneuver of vehicles, including the standing still maneuver before starting and after braking. When simulating standing still maneuver, the vehicle model should continue its integration and at the same time keep the error of vehicle´s speed or displacement small enough that the driver cannot sense them. This paper presents the method of standing still maneuver simulation with a single wheel model, the key of which is the application of non-steady tire model, and the method can be easily used in a full vehicle dynamic simulating model for a driving simulator.
