Abstract :
A brief look is given to current theories of exploring the temporal dimensions of databases. This is followed by a discussion of possible problems with these approaches. The idea presented is practical from a storage standpoint. Every time a change is made to the database, only the modified atomic elements are stored, rather than the entire database snapshot. The major problem with this approach is the difficulty with temporal inquiries since each elemental item history will have to be searched to arrive at the appropriate snapshot for the inquired time
