Abstract :
The subject matter of this paper refers to the improvement of the acoustic emission (AE) method used to measure partial discharge (PD), which occur in the insulation of power appliances. The aim of the measurements and the time-frequency analyses, the results of which are presented in this paper, was to check the identification possibilities of PD in the case of generation of AE pulses by two sources of discharges of point-grounded plane type simultaneously.
