Abstract :
In this paper, we report a series of slot photonic crystal heterostructure cavities with resonant wavelengths in the range of 1.3 μm - 1.6 μm. These cavities, which have a wide range operation as well as high Q/V factors (above 800,000), can be used for various applications based on the integration of active materials in the silicon photonics platform.
