Notes on the balance property of Golay complementary pairs

The balance property of binary sequences is important in many kinds of applications. In this paper some notes on the balance property of Golay complementary pairs are given. We show that no balance Golay complementary pairs exists in the sense of component sequence balance, but there exists balance Golay complementary pairs in the sense of the whole sequence balance. For balance Golay complementary pairs, all admissible lengths up to 1000 are given. The paper also includes a briefly review on the application of Golay complementary pairs and good correlation sequences.
