Abstract :
ERP (Enterprise resource planning) is one of the popular tools for companies to streamline their operations. In this paper, attempt has been made to identify factors that are critical for Chinese construction firms to implement ERP systems successfully. Using DeLone and McLean´s model as the research model, questionnaire survey was conducted among the contractors in Hong Kong and the Guangdong Province of China to identify the critical factors. The results will be useful to construction companies and Chinese enterprises who want to implement the ERP systems, as well as to those ERP vendors who want to increase their market share in China.
