Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach: virtual equivalent system method to analyze adaptive pole-assignment control system. With the help of the new method and model order reduction, a criterion was developed to judge the stability and convergence of adaptive pole-assignment control system, which shows that neither controllability nor convergence of estimated model (parameters) is necessary for adaptive pole-assignment
