Abstract :
The generation of the stamping process is often based on the experiments and the knowledge of specialists in this field. However the development of a coherent system which able to generate a stamping process of the cylindrical parts that requires a great knowledge of the difficulties of sheet metal working processes. Such as wrinkling, fractures, geometrical defects, etc. In this paper, we present the automation of the stamping process which we follow in the goal to facilitate the design of obtaining the stamping cylindrical parts through software. This software created is allowed STAMP CAM (stamping computer aided manufacturing) which contains three principal modules; the first one used for the modeling with design by feature to decompose finished part, the initial blank and the tools. The second module provides the stampings parameters according to given dimensional and technological constraint and the last module show the possible processes of obtaining the finished parts as well as the intermediate stages. This work finished by using visual basic programming which utilizes all the data collected by the industrialists and specialists in stamping.
