Abstract :
Today, most international standards like the IEC, the IEEE, and the SA standards make use of discrete frequencies to calculate their power quality indices, like total harmonic distortion. This paper presents the shortcoming in using these formulae. This paper also represents some possible remedies for the above mentioned shortcomings
