  • Abstract
In this paper, we establish a unifying framework to analyze symbol error probability (SEP) for wireless communication where the fading envelope is described by H-fading or degree-2 irregular H-fading. By virtue of two essential operations-termed as Mellin and convolution operations- involved in the Mellin transform and Mellin convolution of two H-functions, the H-transform for the SEP culminate in H-functions. Using the algebraic asymptotic expansions of the H-transform, we further analyze the SEP at high signal-to-noise ratios in again a unified fashion.
