  • Abstract
A practical motor speed regulating system is presented. It has fast transient response but no overshoot. Minimum-time optimal control was adopted in the system, using a new approximate switch line combined with a self-optimizing technique. The experiment illustrates that the system is not only optimal, but also easy to implement
