Abstract :
A practical procedure is presented to derive an OTA active highpass filter from the prototype of a resistive doubly terminated LC passive highpass filter. The design procedure is based on the Jacobi-method and a similar diagonal matrix. The Jacobi-method may avoid the difficulties of finding the roots of a high order polynomial. The designed highpass active filter is composed of the OTA and ground capacitors. It has the characteristics of high stability and low sensitivities. A design example is given and the simulated results show that the given method is suitable for continuous time fully integrated OTA filter design.
