Abstract :
The project “Borehole Microwave” is the first project in design of the radio pulse signal transfer on microwaves through a drilling pipe as a new communication channel. Methods of transfer of the telemetry information are investigated. The new model of the communication channel is creating. The “measurements while drilling” mock-up of system based on the new concept of creation of telemetry equipment is developed. The transmitting device and experimental bench for electrophysical researches of various media in the drilling pipes is carried out. Results of researches of the transmitting module of average capacity based on Gunn diode are presented. Results show the principle possibility of work in a perspective field, the data transfer through a new communication channel in microwave band that open new possibilities of improving of the measurement-while-drilling equipment.
