Abstract :
Restoration system has played a significant role in the remanufacturing engineering which is one of advanced industrial technology. It has become an important approach of sustaining the social progress. In this paper, a practicable restoration system for worn part, aided with an optical three dimension (3D) scanner, is developed to meet the requirements of remanufacture. The scanner is designed to obtain the information of the worn area of the part rapidly and the scanning data is used to guide the restoration procedure precisely. The pivot issues such as the system calibration, worn region location and restoration path planning are introduced in this paper. The real experiments demonstrate that the present system is stable and effective.
