Abstract :
A sliding mode control for a fifth-order model of an induction motor is designed. The design method uses some results for nonlinear singularly perturbed systems. Regulation of the rotor speed and the squared norm of the rotor flux is achieved even if a load torque disturbance and an uncertainty in the rotor resistance value are present
