Abstract :
JAMSTEC has developed a small remote control system for not only underwater vehicle but also buoy, research ship and so on. This system uses the eighth JAXA Engineering Test Satellite (ETS-VIII). The system consists of a vehicle unit (including pressure-proof antenna, a tracking system, a transceiver, and a controller) and a land unit. Sea trials of the system will be carried out in next fiscal year.
