Abstract
Minimum adaptive allocation algorithm (MAAA) is proposed for wide band low-voltage powerline communication based on the bit rate requirements and the subchannel gains. This paper presents an analytic model describing complex transfer functions of typical powerline communication. Four-paths attenuation and frequency selective fading are considered in simulation. Comparison have been made between the MAAA and fixed allocation algorithm (FAA), the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a better performance compared to the FAA while the total transmitted number is kept as ideal constant (such as less than 512 bits).
