Abstract :
Nonlinear control of a transitional pneumatic servoactuator is considered. The system consists of a rodless cylinder controlled with a current-actuated four-way servovalve. A nonlinear state space model of the system is presented, based on the assumptions of an ideal equation of state, isentropic valve orifice flow, and isentropic control volume behavior. Control of this system is considered from the perspectives of both feedback linearization and sliding mode control
