Abstract
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems promise to improve performance and increase capacity in wireless communications. To achieve these advantages, the vertical Bell Laboratories layered space-time (V-BLAST) architecture was developed. Most research of BLAST so far has been based on flat fading channels. We propose an iterative detection algorithm based on decision feedback equalization (DFE) to combat frequency selective channels and combine this method with VBLAST. Simulation results are presented to show the performance improvements.
