Abstract :
Formalises the domain of echocardiography in a conceptual model. A model of the investigation is outlined, including important entities, actors and flow of information. Based on such a consistent view of the investigation, a model of echocardiographic findings is proposed. Such a model can be used to structure computerised representations of findings and eventually to support, for example, harmonisation of databases, structured data entry, controlled language generation and natural language understanding
