Abstract :
Fusion of qualitative data with quantitative sensory inputs in the realm of tracking and maneuver detection is addressed. The main problem that is addressed is the nonsoundness of reasoning about maneuvers when using the maneuver-box approach. Instead, an approach based on critical hypersurfaces separating nonmaneuver from maneuver states is proposed
