Abstract
If a system´s instantaneous energy is accumulated over a time interval of infinite length and this accumulated energy tends to be finite, then the system must be stable in some sense. This fact is used to establish several criteria which provide an alternate approach for controller design and stability analysis for a dynamic system. These criteria also give an explicit measure of system performance
