Abstract
A methodology is presented which is based on an adaptive software that increases the performances of a measurement system devoted to the characterization of industrial wattmeters working in presence of significant distortions in current and voltage signals and/or low values of cos Φ. The system is a two-channels standard waveform including power outputs (mas. 150 Vrms for the voltage channel and 5 Arms for the current channel). The integrated action of hardware and software resources guarantees a high-level accuracy both in generation of standard waveforms and in sampling and evaluating the power signals. The system provides automatic calibration through feedback path and the correction of systematic errors
