Abstract
A radar extractor based on a two-processor digital signal-processing (DSP) card implemented in a standard personal computer (PC) has been developed. A constant false alarm rate (CFAR) processor is applied as a part of radar extractor algorithms. Some particular problems related to the CFAR automatic detection of radar signals are investigated, from theoretical and practical point of view, and given in the paper. Theoretical and simulation results are compared with the first experimental results acquired during testing of radar extractor connected on classical pulse radar
