Abstract
A new half bridge converter without DC offset of magnetizing current is proposed. The ZVS operation of proposed converter is maintained by only reflected load current because it doesnpsilat have DC offset of magnetizing current as the duty changes. Therefore it has high efficiency and high power density especially when it has a wide input range. The operational principle, large signal modeling and ZVS analysis are presented. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed converter can achieve a large ZVS range and significant improvement in the efficiency for a 280 W (12 V, 23.3 A) prototype converter.
